TFR/Tox: Complete Preclinical System for the Modern Researcher
TFR/Tox is an integrated data management system for management of preclinical toxicology research. It is particularly suited to the needs of reproductive toxicology and teratology, as it was designed with these uses in mind, but it's also an effective tool for general toxicology. It will also prove quite beneficial to contract research organizations, as it is set up to be able to handle an unlimited number of customers' data separately and securely.
The technology is based on a client/server platform. The clients are ordinary PC workstations running Windows 2000 or XP, and the server can be anything supporting Oracle as a database server. The graphical user interface is clear and consistent throughout the system. Online help is available. Peripheral devices, such as electronic scales, barcode readers, electronic chip ID readers, etc., are easily interfaced.
Nearly 100 reports covering every facet of the collected data can be generated, either in batch or interactively, with a host of user-selectable options designed to increase flexibility and provide needed solutions. Reports can be loaded into word processing programs or sent to other in-house document management systems. Data can be exported to SAS or other analysis packages either through ASCII or XML files, or by direct database access.
Security is a prime consideration, and the system has a complete system of passwords and hierarchical authorizations by both function and study. Audit trail recording is included, of course, and data is protected against loss through operator error or failure of the server or network. TFR/Tox complies with 21CFR11.
Data can be recorded for every phase of in-life studies, including dosing with multiple compounds and routes, subgroups, every kind of complex schedule, mating, littering, delivery, C-section, pup development, and subsequent generaton mating. Numeric, character, glossary, and table lookup data types are supported. New exam types can be easily added, usually without programming, and often by the user without assistance.
TFR/Tox is available now. It was first released in 1991, and is a mature, verified, validated, documented, and reliable software system. Our clients are currently using it for GLP studies. There is a liberal trial plan, and substantial second-site discounts. |
